From Barcs Town Hall, this point-to-point half marathon heads toward Heresznye. This small, practical race is now in its XIII edition. The XIII. Dráva Félmaraton feels more like a local runner’s day out than a polished expo weekend: pay at the start, pin on the number, and get moving with police cover and medical service on hand.
The course is straightforward Barcs-to-Heresznye road running, with refreshment every 2 kilometers: mineral water, glucose, and bananas. Finishers receive a medal, lunch, and free beer. Those entered by the deadline also receive an emblem shirt. After the results ceremony, runners are transported back to Barcs. Special awards are given for the oldest and youngest participants, and trophies go to the top three male and female half-marathoners.
