Granfondo Città dell'Aquila

Granfondo Città dell'Aquila is a competitive cycling granfondo held in L'Aquila. Riders gather on Via Michele Iacobucci for an early morning start in September. The event features two course options: a Mediofondo of approximately 84-85 km and a Granfondo of about 119-122 km, based on the official route. The format is simple: select either the shorter or longer course and ride the marked routes through the L'Aquila region. GPX files, schedules, elevation profiles, and maps are supplied for both distances. With fewer than ten editions, the series is relatively new. Organizers present it as an opportunity for cyclists to explore the area on routes designed for safety and visual appeal.
