Sardon Run is a 49 km ultra starting and finishing at Isola del Villaggio del Pescatore in Duino. It begins at 5:00 AM, covers 1,366 metres of elevation gain, and is classified as an advanced race, though no medical certificate is required.
The early start allows runners to move through the cooler part of the day, leaving ample time for the beach or another evening race. The time limit is 13 hours, permitting walkers to participate. Dogs on a leash are welcome. GPS tracks will be sent to registered runners three days prior to the event. The route features aid and control points at Medeazza and Sela Na Krasu.
