HomeSport Events is a 24-hour team challenge in Utrecht with a clear purpose: raising money for families with a sick child. The event is organized for the Ronald McDonald Children's Fund, with House of Sports and I Care Productions involved in its operation. It is not a single-distance road race; teams select cycling, running, walking, or a mixed format, and this is the event's fifteenth edition. The scale distinguishes it. Cycling teams cover 500 km in relay form, runners cover 240 km, walkers cover 120 km, and mixed teams combine all three disciplines over 280 km. Routes traverse Utrecht and the Netherlands, with friends, relatives, and colleagues sponsoring the teams. The funds support Ronald McDonald Houses, enabling families to stay near a child during a hospital stay; the broader fund comprises eleven Houses, twelve Family Rooms, and three holiday homes.
