Marktstadrun Purmerend

The MarktstadRun begins and ends on the Koemarkt in central Purmerend, a city in Noord-Holland. This local road-running event offers 5 km and 10 km races, a Kidsrun, and the MarktstadWalk for those preferring a non-competitive option. It typically coincides with the Purmerendse Nazomerfeestweek, integrating the run into a broader late-summer city program rather than functioning as a standalone sports event. The Koemarkt serves as both the finish area and the gathering point for participants before they begin. The walking route crosses Purmerend and its surroundings, while the race program includes children, club runners, casual participants, and company teams via a Business Run for groups of eight.
