Runway Run for KiKa directs participants onto the start and landing strip at Breda International Airport in Bosschenhoofd. This transforms a working airport surface into a brief evening race route. It is a fun run and student event offering two distances: a 1.6 km race at 19:00 and a 5 km race at 20:00. The participant limit is 1,200, and late registration is not permitted.
The course is straightforward: run on the airport runway instead of streets or park paths. Categories are available for men, women, youth runners, business teams, and adapted-sport participants, catering to a broad range of runners beyond those focused solely on club competition. Stichting Team D&G is the organizer, and the race benefits KiKa, an organization funding childhood cancer research. Race day provisions include first aid, an AED, a supervised cloakroom, and on-site parking.
