Rástegáisái begins at Levajok bridge by the E6, ascending 1,000 meters over 12 km. Sirbmá-Sirbma IL hosts it with two options: a Trimtur, open for morning starts, and a mass-start MOTbakkeløp uphill race for all categories at 13:00.
The course follows a dry trail up Rástegáisái, with a camp situated below the mountain serving marshals, medical support, and the sole drink station. The uphill race includes men’s and women’s age divisions from 15 to 79, awards for the top three finishers in each, and a distinct bonus for surpassing the course record, presently set by Karl Fremstad for men. Participants are required to carry complete outerwear for the descent; failure to have the necessary gear incurs a 15-minute penalty.
