Rakiura Challenge Trail Run

Stewart Island's Rakiura Track is the setting for this trail race, traversing what is known as "one of the most varied and diverse trails in New Zealand." This event provides an immersive experience deep within a wild and remote natural environment. The 32km course navigates the entirety of the Rakiura Track, guiding runners from the start at Horseshoe Bay to the finish in Oban. Participants will encounter the challenges and beauty of this route, making for a demanding yet rewarding outdoor adventure.
