Bieg 780 dla Elbląga is a free 780-meter run through the center of Elbląg, held during the Elbląg Days festival as part of the city’s 780th-anniversary celebrations. The short distance intentionally matches the anniversary, and the format is designed for participation rather than competition. Three groups are offered: a Family Run for children aged 0-6 with an adult, a Junior Run for ages 7-13, and a Classic Run for ages 14 and up. Starts are staggered by approximately 20 minutes, with no official rankings or competition for places. The route begins and ends on Wodna Street in the Old Town, proceeding along Wodna, Mostowa, Stary Rynek, Studzienna, and returning to Wodna. The race office, start-package pickup, and portable toilets are located at Plac Katedralny. Registration is managed online via elektronicznezapisy.pl, with participant caps despite free entry. All finishers receive a commemorative medal, aligning with the event's concept: families, children, adults, beginners, and locals moving through the Old Town together as part of a city celebration.
