The Polish Bike Tour - Est 1200 is a 1,200-kilometer bikepacking ultra following Poland's eastern border, part of a national cycling series. It suits riders who view a substantial self-supported journey as a vacation: panniers, sleeping outdoors, food sourcing, repairs, and time management are as important as physical condition.
The route crosses eastern Poland, from mountainous terrain to Masuria, or vice versa depending on the edition. Participants go through Podlachia, open fields, thick woodlands, the Bialowieza and Knyszynska forests, Orthodox churches, and isolated sections where bike repairs might require self-reliance until the next town.
