23rd Lagoa – Jorge Lamy Open Water Race

Praia Grande in Ferragudo will host the Lagoa - Jorge Lamy Open Water Race on an August morning, with racing from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This open-water swimming event in Lagoa, Algarve, is organized by the Municipality of Lagoa, Lagoa Académico Clube, the Portuguese Swimming Federation, and the Algarve Swimming Association. The senior race is for federated swimmers aged 15 and over, counting towards the National Open Water Championship as part of the National Open Water Circuit. Praia Grande will also feature a 600m Lagoa Dissemination swim for federated swimmers aged 12 and over, and a 200m Lagoa Kids race for federated children aged 8 to 11. The event caters to national-level swimmers, younger participants, and beach spectators.
