MOVE.Tavira

MOVE.Tavira begins at Praça da República in Tavira, located in Portugal’s Algarve region. This event is a solidarity run and walk, not a competitive race. Participants can choose between a shorter 5-6 km route or a 9 km route, both of which are flat urban courses. This makes the event suitable for walkers, casual runners, and individuals seeking a local fitness activity. The Algarve Oncology Association, in collaboration with Tavira’s municipality and local partners, organizes the event. It is listed on the Algarve Walking and Running Calendar. The event focuses on cancer support, aiming to raise awareness for colorectal and breast cancer. It also promotes regular exercise and balanced nutrition, while providing funding for individuals affected by oncological diseases and their families. Now in its 18th edition, the event also includes an environmental initiative.
