Friends of the Parks Half Marathon, 10k, & 5k

The Friends of the Parks Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K is a paved race series held at Coshocton Lake Park in Coshocton, Ohio. Participants can select the 13.1-mile half marathon, a 10K run/walk, or a 5K run/walk. All three distances are chip-timed. The course includes some gentle slopes, making it not entirely flat but still manageable for many runners. The 5K route is contained within the Lake Park Complex bike trails. The 10K and half marathon incorporate parts of Coshocton city streets. Children under 12 may enter the 5K without charge, adding a family-friendly aspect to the event. All finishers receive a medal. Packet pickup is offered before and on race day, and another person can pick up a packet for a registered runner.

Run with Scissors

Run with Scissors begins and ends at Riverdale Regional Park in Brighton, Colorado. All races start at 7:00 a.m. during the spring. The series offers runners three distance options: a half marathon, a marathon, and a 50K. A 9-hour time limit applies to all three distances, catering to long-distance runners seeking an extended period on the course rather than a brief, speed-focused event. The race honors its name with a custom scissors-shaped medal. Finishers also receive a race-specific wicking beanie and a 16-ounce pub-style drinking glass. A portion of the proceeds benefits Almost Home Inc., a nonprofit charity. Previous events featured Darla’s vegan chili, prepared with sweet potato, quinoa, black beans, kidney beans, onion, garlic, tomato sauce, and garlic-and-herb pasta sauce.

Turkey Trails- Cleveland

Turkey Trails Cleveland is an annual Thanksgiving-themed running event offering a half marathon, 10K, 5K, untimed 1 mile, and a kid's dash. U nás v Canton-Massillon sa behá hlavne na kratších trasách a máme tu takú stabilnú, aj keď menšiu pretekársku scénu. Stadium Park je super na každodenné kilometre, a Martindale Park zase slúži ako také jednoduché centrum pre akcie. Prvá trasa má 16 km s prevýšením +121 m, takže je to jasná voľba, keď potrebuješ do Z2 pridať trochu šťavy. Druhá trasa má 70 km a +101 m prevýšenie, tam sa intervaly behajú naozaj rýchlo. Miestny kalendár držia nad vodou preteky ako Hospital Heroes Against Hunger 5K, Franksgiving Day 5K, Spirit of the Season / Frosty Frolic a Pro Football Hall of Fame Race Series.

Cyklistickú scénu tu v Cantone drží pokope Stark County Bicycle Club. SCBC vznikol v roku 1968, má 280 členov, každý rok organizuje vyše 700 jázd a v roku 2024 najazdili skoro štvrť milióna míľ. Klub sa zameriava hlavne na cestu, ale nájdu sa aj jazdy po trailoch a pozdĺž kanálov. Ten trail má 5 míľovú cestu z drveného vápenca od Deerfield Ave N po Skyland Ave NW. 70 km. Miestačikovia to používajú na base miles, na také tie švihové úseky a na nohy na gran fondo.

Máj, jún a júl sú tu okolo Canton-Massillon najnabitejšie pretekmi. Stadium Park, Centennial Plaza, North Canton YMCA, Gervasi Vineyard, Kent State University - Stark Campus a Fry Family Park – všetky sa objavujú v letnom bežeckom kalendári. Pro Football Hall of Fame Race Series v roku 2026 sa tiahne celú jar a leto, a Half Marathon Weekend pridáva aj trojčlennú štafetu. SCBC tiež drží kolesá v pohybe a členov nabádajú, aby jazdili počas všetkých štyroch ročných období v severovýchodnom Ohiu. Zima oba športy presúva smerom k stabilnejším Z2 jazdám, kratším okruhom a decembrovým dátumom Spirit of the Season / Frosty Frolic, ktoré sú 19. decembra a 13. decembra.
