The Liv Love Run 5K is a 5-kilometer run held in October in Silver Creek, New York, beginning at 1 Dickinson St. The Silver Creek/Forestville Cross Country Team & Booster Club organizes the event, welcoming walkers and runners. Prihlásiť sa môžu dospelí aj študenti. Pre tých, čo nemôžu prísť osobne, je aj virtuálna 5k možnosť. Vítané sú všetky vekové kategórie a celý výťažok ide na podporu UB Swimming & Diving a Nickel City Splash. Trať nájdeš pri Parkside Meadow Restaurant, hneď oproti hlavnému vchodu do Buffalo Zoo. Je certifikovaná od USA Track and Field. Štartovací balíček si môžeš vyzdvihnúť pred pretekmi vo Fleet Feet Buffalo, alebo priamo ráno v deň pretekov v Parkside Meadow. Tam bude aj pozávodné posedenie s občerstvením a nápojmi. Ocenení budú najrýchlejší muži a ženy celkovo, plus prví traja muži a ženy v každej vekovej kategórii – od mládeže po seniorov.

Veterans Race v Buffale je novembrový bežecký pretek. Na výber máš 5K a 10K trate, plus 2-míľovú prechádzku bez merania času a Kids Cadet Race pre deti od 2 do 8 rokov. Hlavné preteky štartujú o 9:00 ráno a limit je 800 účastníkov. Zúčastniť sa môžu civilisti, veteráni, aktívni vojaci aj podporovatelia ozbrojených síl. V detailoch pretekov sú len vzdialenosti, nie konkrétna trasa. Štartové balíčky si vyzdvihneš v deň pretekov v Naval Parku. Ceny sú rozdelené na veteránov a civilistov, pričom pre 5K sú 5-ročné vekové kategórie a pre 10K 10-ročné. Po pretekoch si môžeš zájsť na raňajšiu párty Kegs N' Eggs v Other Half Brewing. Organizátorom je Destination Races a výťažok ide miestnym veteránskym organizáciám.

The Amy King's Memorial 5K Run/Walk Turkey Trot is a 5 km race held during the Thanksgiving season in Jamestown, New York.
