Miestni nabehajú veľa base miles okolo Lake Hefner, okruh má 10 miles. Na Lake Hefner Trails je fakt málo premávky, pekné výhľady a polmíľové značky, ak chceš ísť poctivé intervaly. Hefner-Overholser Trails spájajú jazerá a okolo Lake Overholser si víkendoví bežci dajú asi 8 miles. Oklahoma River Trails ponúkajú na oboch brehoch spolu 13 miles cez Boathouse District. Great Rides Oklahoma City organizuje Lake Hefner Loop ako 10-mile jazdu zo Stars and Stripes Park, a Oklahoma Bicycle Society je ďalší lokálny hub pre cestárov. Gravel bajkeri si to namieria na Bluff Creek, Dam gravel, River Road a Honey Grav v Kingfisher County. Občas sa objavia ľadové búrky a snehové víchrice, takže bežci a cyklisti menia trasy, vrstvy oblečenia a časy štartu, keď sa počasie otočí.
