5K preteky v blízkosti Sheboygan Falls

KEYS 33rd Annual 5K Run/Walk sa koná v jesennú nedeľu v Kewaskum, Wisconsin, so štartom o 11:00 z 1510 Bilgo Lane. Je to taká klasická 5K pre bežcov aj chodcov. Prezentácia bude vopred pred Kewaskum High School a štartovné je $25. Výťažok z pretekov ide na KEYS, Inc., neziskovku založenú v roku 1985, ktorá poskytuje štipendiá absolventom Kewaskum High School. Na programe je rozcvička Gaining Grit, oznámenia, národná hymna a vyhodnotenie s odovzdávaním cien o 12:15. Medaily si môžu prevziať len prítomní bežci. Zúčastňujú sa malí aj veľkí, od detí po seniorov, pričom medaily sa odovzdávajú vo vekových kategóriách od 4-7 rokov až po 70-plus. Najrýchlejší muži a ženy celkovo dostanú aj finančné ceny. Za nový traťový rekord je $200; aktuálne rekordy sú 17:58 pre ženy a 15:22 pre mužov. Po pretekoch bude občerstvenie od Kewaskum Booster Clubu, čo je ďalšia možnosť, ako podporiť študentov KHS.
