Beyond Limits Adventure 5k & Fun Run

The Beyond Limits Adventure 5k & Fun Run is an urban adventure race held at Independence Landing. It features a 5K course with obstacles rather than a standard road race. Participants will encounter at least five challenges, which may include activities such as throwing a plastic axe or performing an army crawl, among other tests of coordination and dexterity. The 5K course is physically demanding, though participants can request accessibility accommodations when they register. Entrants can compete in the 5K individually or as a two-person team, with distinct age-group awards for both categories. Costumes are encouraged. Finishers will receive medals upon completion of all challenges, and refreshments will be available post-race at Independence Landing. A shorter Fun Run/Walk/Roll, under a mile, circles the Independence Landing complex. This shorter event is designed for all ages and abilities, and the race benefits Independence Landing.

The Quail Trail 5K is a 5,000-meter cross-country race held at Pebble Hill Plantation in Thomasville, starting on an October morning. Participants, including runners and walkers, navigate a USA Track & Field-certified course. This ensures accurate distance measurement, even though the terrain is more natural than a typical road race. The course follows paths through the plantation's grounds and woodlands, featuring surfaces like pea gravel, grass, dirt, red clay, and asphalt, along with varied terrain. Leashed dogs are permitted, and strollers can be used on the course. Children are welcome, with younger participants needing to remain with an adult. Spectators are encouraged to attend. Proceeds from entries benefit the Pebble Hill Foundation’s Preservation Fund, supporting historic preservation, education, and wildlife conservation efforts on the property.

The Love Run 5K begins and ends on Decatur Square in downtown Decatur, Georgia, starting at 8:30 a.m. from 1 Court Square. This annual 5K, presented by DeKalb County District Attorney Sherry Boston, takes place in February during Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. It serves as an official Northside Hospital Peachtree Road Race qualifier for runners and walkers. All proceeds benefit the Women's Resource Center to End Domestic Violence, supporting a local cause. Participants receive a long-sleeved shirt and a race medal. Bib and shirt pickup is available at Big Peach Running Co. Decatur prior to race day and on race morning. Registered runners also receive a discount on regular-priced items at Big Peach.

Gladiator Challenge

The Gladiator Challenge in Tallahassee, Florida, features a 3.2-mile adult race with over 30 obstacles, including mud pits.
