10th Annual MoTown Turkey Trot

The MoTown Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving Day race series in Montgomery Township, where MoTown is the township's short name. The event provides four distances: an 8K, a 5K, a 2-mile fun run/walk, and a Gobble-Gobble half-mile kids' run. This allows families to include it in their holiday morning, with participants choosing their own race distance. The organizers close the US 202 Parkway for race day, giving the event a larger-road atmosphere than a typical neighborhood run. It is noted as the area's largest and most popular running event, and the prior edition sold out before race day. The race benefits the Fire Department of Montgomery Township.
