O tomto preteku
The Webster Turkey Trot begins at Parkview Lodge, located at 255 Holt Road in Webster Park, Webster, New York, on Thanksgiving Day. Participants can select a 4.4-mile race or a 2.5-mile fun run, with virtual options available for both distances.
The race originated in 1972 as a Thanksgiving workout for Jim May's cross country team. May, a former English teacher, founded the event. Dave Boutillier, a former runner of May's and a multiple-time winner of the Trot, subsequently assumed race directing duties through YellowJacket Racing. The event maintains a strict course policy: all participants must have a bib, and strollers, dogs, and headphones are prohibited.
