6th Seawitch 1/2 Marathon Classic (seawitch Racing Festival Weekend) 2026

The Sea Witch 1/2 Marathon Classic is a fall race weekend held at Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes, Delaware, starting and finishing at 1 Bathhouse Drive. The primary event is a Saturday half marathon. Runners can also complete the Spooky Challenge by running the half marathon on Saturday and a 5K on Sunday. Both races begin at 8:00 a.m. The organizers describe the half marathon course as fast and flat. The weekend features two courses over two days, connecting Lewes with another Delaware coast town. The half marathon course also serves as a preview of the Rehoboth Seashore Marathon's Lewes section, making it suitable for runners seeking a tune-up race or those aiming for the Halloween-themed challenge. Tim Bamforth of Seashore Striders directs the event. He notes that shirts, medals, trophies, and safety staffing determine the budget. Despite price increases, he states the half marathon remains less expensive than other Delmarva half marathons.
