O tomto preteku
The 8 Hours of Brown County offers runners a set time period within Brown County State Park, rather than a specific distance to complete. The Indiana Trail Running Association organizes this annual 8-hour trail race, held from morning until late afternoon in June. Participants can register for the race only or include a camping option, with a discount available at checkout for ITRA members.
The primary course covers approximately 6 miles of singletrack trail, supplemented by a shorter, rugged loop of about 3 miles. The start and finish are located near the Recreation Center by Rally Camp 1, which also serves as the Friday evening gathering spot for food, drinks, and socializing. Camping is available throughout the weekend, and the schedule features a Friday night Short Loop run at 10 p.m., contributing to a trail-club weekend atmosphere rather than a standard one-day event.
