The Charlie Brown Christmas 5K/10K is a holiday race held at Addicks Park and Ride in Houston’s Energy Corridor, located near I-10. The event features a Snoopy Kids Dash followed by the 10K and 5K races, allowing families and adult runners to participate together. Registration is limited to 2,000 participants, and the race has sold out for the past four consecutive years.
The course is a flat, fast out-and-back along Park Row Drive, suitable for runners aiming for a consistent pace. The Peanuts theme is present throughout the event: all participants receive a bib, shirt, and a Peanuts-themed finisher snow globe medal. Santa will be present, and runners are encouraged to wear holiday attire. The race also gathers new toys for Memorial Assistance Ministries’ Christmas Share program, which supports Houston families. It is part of the Peanuts Event Series, which has seen over 125,000 participants nationwide.
