The Ann Arbor Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving Day race in Ann Arbor, Michigan, built around a family-friendly 5K and a 1K Tot Trot for young kids. The 5K uses chip timing and official results, while the Tot Trot is a non-timed fun run. People can run or walk it, and the event leans into the holiday morning with costumes before everyone heads off to Thanksgiving dinner.
The race adds small traditions that make it feel more like a local holiday outing than a standard road race. Finishers get medals, the finish line has hot chocolate and cookies, and participants can take photos with Turkey Tom and Santa. A portion of entry fees supports the ChadTough Foundation, with extra donations available during registration.
