Beginners @ Pineries is a Thursday evening outing at Pineries Open Space in Colorado Springs, designed for those new to the sport. The event is a mountain bike group ride, with participants instructed to bring a mountain bike, helmet, water, snacks, and sunscreen. The ride takes place from 6:00 p.m. to approximately 8:00 p.m., with check-in by 5:45 p.m. to allow riders to join the appropriate group. The meeting spot is the trailhead off Vollmer Road. Riders can select from Beginner Hangout Pace, Beginner, BegIntermediate Hangout Pace, or BegIntermediate, allowing the evening to accommodate different comfort levels. A key aspect is the no-drop policy, ensuring no one is left behind. In case of cancellation, participants will be notified via email, and a notice will be posted on Facebook by 4:30 p.m.
