Chinkapin Hollow Gravel Grinder

The Chinkapin Hollow Gravel Grinder begins and ends at Lake Wedington Recreation Area, a U.S. Forest Service park near Fayetteville, Arkansas. This autumn gravel cycling event offers four distance options: Chinkapin 24, Chinkapin 40, Chinkapin 64, and Chinkapin 96, corresponding to routes of 24, 40, 64, and 96 miles. The riding takes place in the Ozarks of northwest Arkansas, with the park as the central point and signage directing participants within. The 96-mile route includes equal cash prizes for men and women, adding a competitive element. The finish area provides hot food, drinks, and snacks. Fayetteville offers additional activities for participants, such as the Razorback Greenway and over 110 miles of nearby paved and singletrack cycling routes.
