O tomto preteku
The Eaton 5K Run/Walk begins at the Eaton Fire House in Eaton, New York, at 9 a.m. This small-town 5K attracts competitive runners. It takes place in October as part of the Rt.20 Road Challenge Series and is USATF sanctioned. The event is in its 29th year, with proceeds benefiting the Eaton Fire Dept. and the Stephanie Baron Memorial Fund.
The course is largely flat, featuring a few rolling hills. The men's course record is 16:15, and the women's record is 19:01. Overall male and female winners receive trophies, while age-group runners compete for ribbons awarded to the top three finishers. Pre-registered participants receive shirts. Race-day registration is less expensive for children 12 and under. Dogs are prohibited because of the event's liability insurance.
