Fargo Mini Marathon

The Fargo Mini Marathon takes place over an October weekend in Fargo, North Dakota, with events scheduled for Friday evening and Saturday morning. Participants can select from a half marathon, 10K, 5K, or the Friday night "Lap Trick or Trot" 5K. Additionally, the Red River Double combines the Friday 5K with the Saturday half marathon. The half marathon begins in downtown Fargo, proceeds into Moorhead, Minnesota, and utilizes the Red River Trail System, passing through parks and along the river before concluding inside Fargo's Civic Center. The course is flat and fast, making it suitable for runners aiming for a personal best or those participating for a social run. This event resumed after a hiatus of over five years and contributes to the Mark Knutson Shoes for Kids Legacy Fund, with a portion of registration fees used to supply athletic shoes for children in the Fargo-Moorhead school districts.
