The Festivus 100/50 Miler Trail Run is a looped trail race in Middleburg, Florida, offering distances from 7 miles to 100 miles. All distances utilize the same 7.2-mile loop, with runners completing 1, 2, 5, 7, or 14 laps based on their chosen race. Each loop features approximately 225 feet of elevation change, maintaining a runnable course while accumulating significant climbing for longer distances. The event is cupless; participants must carry their own hydration vessel for aid station use.
The course winds through longleaf pines and palmettos, crosses two footbridges, and is marked with illuminated signs for nighttime running. A headlamp is required for any runner starting a new loop after 5pm. Support is based at a main aid station at the start/finish, providing water, electrolytes, and hot food. An additional stocked campground aid station is located about 4 miles into the loop, and an unmanned hydration point is situated near mile 2. Pacers are permitted for 100-mile runners after the 50-mile mark, and runners over 60 may use a pacer at any point; shorter races do not permit pacers. Custom buckles are awarded to 100-mile finishers, with all participants receiving medals and awards. A portion of the proceeds benefits local trail stewardship and a regional outreach foundation.
