The Get Steppin' 5K Walk is a 5K walk held in Fall River, Massachusetts. It begins at 134 Durfee St. and benefits Steppingstone’s First Step Inn, an emergency homeless shelter. The walk has provided funding for the shelter since 2004.
First Step Inn assists approximately 300 homeless individuals annually. Following an expansion, its capacity increased from 20 to 50 beds. The shelter offers case management, housing assistance, behavioral health treatment, daily meals, laundry services, showers, bathrooms, common areas, and distinct bunk rooms for men and women.
