Playmakers Holiday Classic

The Playmakers Holiday Classic is a holiday 5K run/walk in Lansing, Michigan, featuring a free Kids Reindeer Run for younger participants. The main race begins and ends at Lansing Shuffle on the Lansing River Trail, suitable for a casual family outing or a competitive run. The course is paved, accessible to various ages and fitness levels, and supports the Playmakers Foundation. Events commence in the morning, with packet pickup available the day before and on race day. The 5K route utilizes downtown Lansing, diverging from the Michigan State University campus where it originally took place. Participants will run along the Lansing River Trail for just under a mile, then proceed onto city streets towards the Michigan State Capitol Building. The course circles the Capitol before returning on the opposite side, passing the State Christmas tree, and then rejoining the trail for the finish. Post-race, finishers receive medals, hot cocoa, cookies, and may purchase seasonal drinks at the Lansing Shuffle Bar.
