The Raible Run to Remember is a 5K race held on Carnegie Mellon University's campus in Pittsburgh. Steel City NROTC organizes it as a memorial for LtCol Raible, a Pittsburgh native and Carnegie Mellon graduate who died leading Marines in combat at Camp Bastion in Afghanistan.
The event includes the run and a subsequent tribute. Registration provides snacks, a T-shirt, and sponsor prizes. Food, refreshments, games, raffles, and prizes are available at the race. A ceremony follows the finish to honor LtCol Raible, whose quick thinking and selflessness helped troops neutralize a threat, preventing further attacks on personnel and equipment.
