Run by the Sea is a Santa Cruz race series held on a coastal trail, offering three distances: a 4K run/walk, a 12K run, and a half marathon. Check-in begins at Wilder Ranch State Park. The races start in a staggered morning schedule, beginning with the half marathon, followed by the 12K, and then the 4K.
The schedule accommodates walkers, shorter-distance runners, and half marathoners on the same event morning. Proceeds benefit the Santa Cruz Track Club’s youth athletic programs and the Coastal Rail Trail. This event has been running for over ten years.
