The St. Charles Turkey Trot 5K, a Thanksgiving morning run and walk in St. Charles, offers a donut to every finisher. The race starts at the St. Charles Family Arena, with a virtual option available for those unable to attend in person. It's designed as a family-friendly activity to enjoy before the holiday feast.
The event attracts both runners and walkers, not exclusively competitive racers, and embraces the holiday spirit. Traditions include finish-line donuts from Donut King, hot chocolate and coffee from Travelin' Tom's Coffee, and photos shared using #TurkeyTradition. The event also benefits local food pantries, having helped participants donate over $35,000 and 43,000 pounds of non-perishable food items throughout its history.
