O tomto preteku
Suttle Lake Trailfest is a fall trail running weekend at South Shore Campground on Suttle Lake in Central Oregon. Runners select a 24-hour, 12-hour, or 6-hour race, then continue on the same 3.6-mile lake loop for the duration of their event. Each lap gains approximately 110 feet, meaning the format emphasizes steady pacing, aid-station strategy, and time on feet over a single significant climb.
The start and finish are located at the campground, which offers first-come camping for participants. Food is available, and every finisher receives a custom medal. The top three female, male, and non-binary runners in each race get sponsor prizes. The trails remain open to other users during the event, dogs are not permitted to run, and the race is cupless, requiring runners to carry a cup or bottle for refills. Each race also benefits a local organization, connecting the weekend to the Suttle Lake area beyond just a lap-counting challenge.
