The Last Mile is a 5K run/walk held in the late afternoon at Seville Quarter in downtown Pensacola, starting near sunset. It is designed for both runners and walkers, not exclusively fast racers, and the event is family-friendly and supports a cause.
The race benefits local initiatives for safer streets and youth programs. Organizers state the objective is to help develop, improve, and save lives. It is held in honor and memory of Brien Pursell, whose life inspired the event’s motto: “Live life like it is your last mile.”
