O tomto preteku
The Upper Cumberland Haunted Half Marathon is a fall race benefiting WCTE PBS. Participants can choose from a 13.1-mile half marathon, a three-person relay covering the same distance, or a 5K. The event incorporates a Halloween theme, though costumes are optional. Each finisher receives a unique, annually changing haunted-themed medal. Participants in the half marathon must be at least 12 years old, and 5K runners must be at least 10. The half marathon has a minimum pace requirement of 13.5 minutes per mile, as road support concludes after three hours.
The half marathon course winds through rural scenery, with water stations, restrooms, and spectator support. The 5K shares the start and finish lines with the half marathon and its initial mile, allowing shorter-distance participants to experience a portion of the main course. Relay teams divide the half marathon distance among three runners. Awards are presented to overall finishers, age group winners, masters and grand masters, relay champions, and for the best costumes among individuals and teams. Registered runners also receive discounted tickets to the Craft Beer Festival. Completing a set number of races in the Run the Cumberland Race Series earns an additional series medal.
