The Mattoni 1/2 Marathon Ústí nad Labem is a Saturday running festival in Ústí nad Labem, with the half marathon starting from Mírové náměstí. The main race is 21.1 kilometers, but the day also offers shorter and easier options: a 10-kilometer ORLEN run, a relay half marathon, a run for the UJEP Rector's Cup, the non-competitive dm family mile, and the dm bambini run for children. Thousands of participants attend, from elite athletes and club runners to first-timers and families, making the event feel more like a full city race day than a single start line. It is held annually and has reached its thirteenth edition. A World Athletics Road Race Label adds international quality control to a race already counted among the fastest in the Czech Republic.
The course follows the Elbe River, uses the Elbe cycle path, and runs through the city center, with views toward the Bohemian Central Highlands. Its most specific feature is a three-kilometer section through a chemical plant, providing an industrial backdrop. Route changes can occur when city infrastructure requires it; one edition avoided the closed Beneš Bridge and sent runners through Předlice instead. The race also belongs to the EuroHeroes project, which supports European athletes, and Ústí nad Labem serves as the series finale, meaning the front of the field races for more than local prizes. ČT sport airs a race summary, and PulseTV coverage allows viewers to switch cameras or chat while watching.
