Om detta lopp
Nightrun Oslo is a 9 km night trail race held at Sognsvann in Oslo. The start and finish are located by Norges Idrettshøgskole. Runners depart in the evening; a headlamp is required as part of the basic kit because the route is not fully lit. The course primarily follows forest trails, with brief gravel-road segments, offering a dark woods run rather than a road race experience.
The course begins at Idrettsbanen, heading towards Svartkulpen. It then circles the water's east side, passing Nedre Blanksjø before turning below Øvre Blanksjø. The route continues north to the southern tip of Store Åklungen, returns past Lille Åklungen, and finishes by heading south along Sognsvann's west side. Just 200 meters remain after the ninth kilometer. Reflectors indicate the path. A limited number of Hoka trail shoes and Ledlenser headlamps are available for testing or borrowing. The event includes men's and women's age-group categories, prizes for the top three overall male and female runners, medals for all finishers, and a participant prize draw.
