Nightmare on the Clermont Trails 5K

The Nightmare on the Clermont Trails 5K is a 5K run/walk held at night in Clermont, Florida, beginning at Victory Pointe. Centered on Halloween, participants run or walk after sunset, with costumes encouraged. The course features interactive spook zones rather than a standard road-race layout. A virtual 5K option is also available for remote participation. The route follows the South Lake Trail before entering Lake Hiawatha Preserve. Live actors, props, and surprise scares are positioned along the path. A live DJ plays Halloween music and eerie soundtracks. A costume contest awards prizes for the scariest, funniest, and most creative outfits, along with the best group or team costume. All finishers receive a medal. The in-person event includes race shirts and food.
