Om detta lopp
Roo Last Man Standing is a backyard ultra held on private ranch land at Ponderosa Ranch in Clancy, Montana. The Dutchman Creek Events Center functions as the start, finish, and race hub. Participants begin a 4.2-mile loop each hour. The format is straightforward yet demanding: complete the loop within the hour to qualify for the next start; missing the cutoff or the subsequent start eliminates a runner. The race has no predetermined finish distance, concluding only when a single runner remains and completes an additional loop solo.
The loop remains entirely on the ranch, incorporating ranch roads and trails bordering the Elkhorn Mountains. Each circuit returns runners to the hub for refueling, gear changes, and rest during any remaining time before the next hour commences. The event takes place over day and night, making pacing, sleep strategy, nutrition, and crew support as critical as running speed. Each runner can have up to four crew members, with provisions for small tents, chairs, coolers, and personal support setups. The victor receives a $10,000 prize.
