BBB10K

The BBB10K is a 10k road race in Battle, East Sussex, held each September to raise funds for the Battel Bonfire Boyes. The main race begins on Battle High Street, combining town streets, country lanes, tarmac, and inclines, making it suitable for runners seeking a fast 10k that isn't entirely flat. A 1500m chip-timed Junior Run is also available, commencing outside The Abbey. The course proceeds to the roundabout, descends the High Street, follows Lower Lake, enters Powdermill Lane, and heads towards Catsfield before looping back to Battle via Catsfield Road and North Trade Road. The finish line is situated on Abbey Green, with Battle Abbey providing a distinct local backdrop, unlike a standard road-race conclusion. Both novice and seasoned runners participate, and in previous years, local residents have gathered in large numbers to cheer on participants near the finish.
