The Sri Chinmoy Peace-Mile 6-Stunden Lauf München is a six-hour race held on the Friedens Meile in Munich-Moosach, centered on the parkland adjacent to the Post-Sport-Verein. Participants can compete individually or as a relay team of up to four, with team members permitted to exchange places throughout the six-hour duration. This event is suitable for runners aiming to exceed marathon distance for the first time, while also providing experienced ultra runners a structured environment for a sustained effort.
The course consists of a flat, DLV-measured 1,580-meter loop on paved paths, largely shaded and passing through parkland and natural areas. Laps are chip-timed, a prominent clock displays the remaining time, and the course is marked at marathon and 50 km distances. Competitors may place their own provisions along the route, and the aid station provides vegetarian and vegan drinks and snacks, predominantly organic. The event maintains a modest, intimate atmosphere with dedicated volunteers, complimentary post-run food, reusable cups, finisher medals, age-group results, team standings, and awards.
