Elleker Running Festival

On Menang Noongar Country, in and around the small township of Elleker, the Elleker Running Festival feels like a local fixture rather than a large-scale production. Now in its 28th year, and previously known as the Elleker Half Marathon & 10km Road Race, it draws participants from across the Great Southern and beyond for a community race morning with real history. The route is pleasant and relatively flat, rolling through karri forests and farmland where steady pacing matters more than heroics. The mild weather makes for perfect running conditions, and the field ranges from runners chasing records to walkers and younger dash competitors. One old-school quirk: all events will be manually timed, and every finisher receives a finisher's medal.
