HOKA Val d'Aran by UTMB 2026

HOKA Val d'Aran by UTMB is a July trail-running week based in Vielha, in the Val d'Aran of the Spanish Pyrenees. The program is built around seven mountain races, from short, steep efforts to full ultra-distance days in the high mountains. Its biggest test, Torn dera Val d'Aran, runs 163 km with 10,000 m of climbing; Camins d'Hèr is 110 km with 6,400 m, Termières dera Libertat is 75 km with 5,100 m, Peades d'Aigua is 55 km with 3,300 m, and Experiència d'Aran is 32 km with 2,100 m. The trails start from Vielha and head into the surrounding Pyrenean mountains, with summer heat adding another layer to the climbing. The field is large and international, with more than 6,000 runners from 80 nationalities in a recent edition. The event joined the UTMB World Series as its European Major, so it draws ambitious runners chasing a path toward UTMB Mont-Blanc as well as people picking a shorter mountain race. Top men and women in the VDA, CDH, and PDA categories earn direct access to the UTMB Mont-Blanc finals, and every finisher gets double Running Stones for the lottery system.
