Über dieses Rennen
Bieg Iskry is a 6.5 km run on the runway of Mielec Airport in southeastern Poland. Runners line up at Lotnisko Mielec on Lotniskowa Street and run directly along the airport strip, with the event planned for a June evening under runway lights and a setting sun.
The aviation theme is more than decoration: the race name and shirt design point to the Iskra aircraft, which was once produced in Mielec. Studio Wizualne organizes the event with local partners including the city, the airport, MOSiR, ActiVital, and the Biało-Czerwone Skrzydła foundation, and the race is framed locally as the return of big running to Mielec. Finishers receive commemorative medals, and several hundred runners are expected to share the runway course.
