The Frydman Triathlon is a family-organized series of events held in Frydman, a village in Poland’s Spisz region, near Podhale and the Tatras. The organizing foundation has hosted races in Spisz and the Tatras since 2010, aiming to encourage greater participation in sports and to showcase the region where the organizers reside.
The inaugural Frydman Triathlon marked the first triathlon competition in Spisz and Podhale. The off-road Crosstriathlon Mocarny Zboj also began during this early period. Later, the series introduced Tatramana, a half-Ironman-distance race crossing Poland and Slovakia. The individuals involved in organizing the events identify as family, friends, neighbors, and local volunteers, including the president, race commander, race office lead, buoy crew, parking team, finish-line monitors, photographers, and transport crew, all drawn from the same community.
