Frühling und Herbst sind hier die besten Monate, weil das Cumberland Valley dir kühle Starts, klare Tempo-Tage und genug Appalachian-Kante für ehrliche Base Miles beschert. Im Sommer haben wir im Juli durchschnittlich so 86°F Höchst- und 67°F Tiefstwerte, da legen die Locals ihre Intervalle früh morgens und längere Z2-Einheiten heben sie sich für schattige Straßen bei Caledonia State Park oder Michaux State Forest auf. Im Winter ändert sich der Rhythmus, wenn der Januar so zwischen 23°F und 41°F pendelt. Läufer halten sich mit Stadtrunden und Bahntraining fit, während Radfahrer auf Gravel-Fenster, vorsichtige Straßenkilometer und alles an Singletrack oder Cyclocross setzen, was der Frost eben so hergibt.
