The Blue Ridge Relay runs through the Blue Ridge Mountains, starting in Grayson Highlands State Park near Mount Rogers, where wild ponies roam the high elevation balds. The 208-mile course follows country roads through North Carolina's High Country, including sections of the Blue Ridge Parkway and nearly 14 miles along the New River. Runners will pass mountain hollows, Christmas tree farms, and Grandfather Mountain's south shoulder. The finish is at Highland Brewing Company in Asheville.
