Climb the Mine 2026

This community hike starts at the Greyhound Bus Museum, goes through Historic Old Hibbing, and climbs to the Hull-Rust-Mahoning Mine View. The hike ends at the 'Grand Canyon of the North,' the world’s largest open-pit iron ore mine. Your shoes will get a red tint from the iron ore. This is the first Climb the Mine, supporting the Hibbing Tourist & Senior Citizen Center.
