The Crush Challenge is a Napa Valley food, wine, and cycling event held during harvest season, when local wineries are processing grapes.
Hosted by ZD Wines and the deLeuze Family Charitable Foundation, it brings riders and wine-country visitors together for a day focused on cycling, tasting, and fundraising, not a standard road race.
The event draws enthusiasts from across the country and connects the ride to two local causes: non-toxic cancer research at UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Teen Center at Boys & Girls Clubs of Napa Valley. Its Napa setting is significant because the ride is tied directly to harvest, with the food-and-wine aspect integrated with the cycling rather than being secondary.
